Purpose:
This step is to analyze causes of existing level of CTQ from the step of measurement, to inspect output plus factor for selecting vital factor, to analyze detailed meanings for setup of base cause.

Step 7 – Examination of cause
Purpose:
This step is to examine causes to improve selected vital factor.
Especially, in case of TQ task and set-up task selecting vital factor by data analysis, the step of examination of cause is applied to the case without clarified target to improve.
